Marjana Bernot

Marjana Bernot, RN, BSc, is a Coordinator for Palliative Care at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she has been working since 1998. Between 2004 and 2016 she held a position in middle management and leadership as the Head of Department of Inpatient Nursing and Care. She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Care Angela Boškin, Slovenia for modules on Oncology nursing and Palliative care. In 2019 she finished The European Palliative Care Academy (EUPCA) for leadership in palliative care. She is a member of the Slovenian Association for Palliative and Hospice Care (SZPHO), Slovenian Oncology Nursing Society, International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC), European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) and the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS). Her professional area focuses on palliative care, nursing education, leadership, medical and radiotherapy oncology treatment.
