Gertrude Phiri
I work in the Aged care industry as an Aged Care Clinical Mentor (ACCM) and studying part time for a PhD.
I worked in Zambia as a nurse in various departments before migrating to Australia in 2003. Seven years before migrating, my work was in the area of HIV/AIDS. Among other responsibilities, I participated in training home based care volunteers and managed a 12-bed hospice. I hold a Master of Palliative Care obtained from ECU (Joondalup)and a Graduate Certificate in International Health from Curtin University Technology (Perth). Having successfully undertaken a pilot project, I have now embarked on my PhD project.
