I am a Nurse of just over 20 years, my main interest and work experience always being in Palliative, Oncology and Community Nursing Care. I am a proud mum of 3 children - a teen and two adults. I have worked in Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Darling Downs in Queensland, Melbourne and Dandenong in Victoria, and now Fraser Coast, Queensland - making the beautiful Hervey Bay our home for the last 7 years. My community and Social Justice has always been important to me, and our family have been involved in our Communities where we live as well as broader Social Justice events over the past 20 years. I have had the amazing opportunity to nurse as a volunteer on a Medical Ship twice in PNG - before Covid times, but have spent the last 3 years very busy in a Volunteer capacity with the initial proposal, funding, design and build and opening of the Fraser Coast Hospice - a huge dream and passion of mine, that is now serving the Fraser Coast Community.
